Comreg Open Day at WHC

Today ComReg (The Commission for Communications Regulation) held an Advice and Information Service in WHC Library. ComReg staff were on hand all day to answer questions from the public about Consumer rights, Costing Options, and other vital information to help our members to resolve dispute with their communications service provider.

This service was launched by our Mayor Cllr. John Gilligan, City Librarian Dolores Doyle.

Two websites have also been launched to offer this advice to anyone who needs it.

The aim of this website is to provide consumers with a user friendly website that provides relevant information and answers on the main issues which affect them in their dealings with suppliers.

Peregrine Falcon Screening in WHC Library

As of today Sean Lynch's much anticipated footage of the Peregrine Falcon's visit to Moyross, is being screened on the library floor. Make sure you come in and see this fascinating film. We have 30 copies of DVD to give away at the desk for Moyross residents who are interested. We will also be streaming the film from this blog, aswell as offering you the facility to download and burn your own copy of the DVD.

St. Nessan's 1st Year Class Visit

Today over 20 1st year students from Ms. Toomey's class visited the library. They were given a tour of what the library has to offer them and they also undertook a 30mins computer session in our PC Suite.

ComReg Advice and Information Day Wednesday 10th September in the Library

Would you like to switch your landline phone provider? Do I have to change my phone number? Would you like to save money on your phone bills? How can I sign up for an Internet or Broadband service? How can I get the best deal on my mobile phone costs when traveling abroad? How do I make a complaint if I have a problem with my service provider?

These questions and many others will be answered on Wednesday 10th September 2008 at Watch House Cross Community Library between 11am and 4pm when the Commission for Communications Regulation ( COMREG ) invites you to come along to an Advice and Information Service where we will be available to provide information and answer your queries.
